At the University Hospital, we aim to provide high quality healthcare from the patients’ prospective and train excellent medical professionals and staff to have the ability to contribute to society.
Our concept and basic policies:
University Hospital was appointed the community AIDS Clinical Center in March 2007, the landmark Hospital in Okinawa for cancer therapy in February 2008, the center for liver diseases in November 2009, and medical care in remote areas in March 2011. As the Special Functioning Hospital in Okinawa, we provide high quality and advanced medical care, especially in the fields of infectious diseases, cancer and lifestyle-related diseases. We have demonstrated a firm commitment to provide innovative and advanced medical care. While performing these missions and roles, we also aim to contribute to improving healthcare and medical treatment as the leading hospital in Southeast Asia.
At the University of the Ryukyus Hospital, we take “safety, security and compassion” as key factors in caring for our patients and their medical care. We fully understand the importance of medical care based on a deep relationship of trust between patient and hospital, and would like to confirm that each patient has the following rights and responsibilities.
*If you do not comply with these responsibilities, you may not be able to continue receiving medical treatment. (In some cases, the police will be called.)
The University of the Ryukyus Hospital has established “Child Patient Rights”. (rules for the protection of children)
