For first-time visitors

You should first go to your local clinic or see a family doctor when you have non-seriousillness or a minor injury.
Please ask your doctor to write a refferal letter and schedule your first appointment.
Then you go to University of the Ryukyus Hospital with a referral letter and you will not be charged extra fee.
If you come to the hospital without a referral letter, you will be charged an extra fee of 7,700yen (determined by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan).
